A limited series of 580 bottles - the two best Rubin barrels from Old School wines' 2020 harvest. Aged in oak barrels for over 20 months in new French barrique barrels - 225 liters. We have selected two barrels that represent the pinnacle of craftsmanship and quality in the world of winemaking. Made with attention to detail by coopers whose workers regularly win the "Best Worker in France" competition, these barrels undergo strict controls to ensure that only the best staves with fine-grained wood from oaks over 120 years old are used, as this affects the complexity of the aromas imparted to the wine. The interaction of the wood from these barrels with the Rubin wine makes this wine a masterpiece.
The color is very dense ruby red, and the aroma is a multi-layered noble bouquet with predominant notes of black fruit: blueberry, black cherry, as well as chocolate, black pepper, leather, tobacco, and vanilla. The wine has an elegant yet powerful and dynamic taste, and the body is supple with lots of sweetness and velvety tannins. The finish is long with accents of cherry, smoke, and chocolate.
FOOD PAIRING: It would go well with lamb chops, beef steak, beef Wellington, or game. It would also pair well with aged hard cheeses such as Comté, Tomme, or Beaufort.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 19-22°C
